As we didn't meet up until 10:00 pm, and as it was a school night, I had fully intended to have an early night and be back at my place by 1 am at the latest. However, dinner went very well and one thing lead to another. We had decent conversation which lead to a drink at the bar, which lead to a discussion of other cool places to go, which lead to me agreeing to go for one more drink at the salsa place in the East Village. That was at 12:30 am.
The salsa place was so much fun! He of course is an awesome dancer. In between sipping Caipirinhas he showed me how to Merengue and salsa. I didn't mind watching his hips at all. When we weren't dancing, we were chatting, drinking, watching other people dance, and just having a great time. There was a kiss, and it was damn good. I didn't get home until 4 am!
On my way home, in the cab, he texted me to say that he had a lot of fun and that an encore was definitely in order. My sentiments exactly.
I think I could really like this dating thing.

Oooooooooooooo! This is exciting!!! I'm so glad you had fun on your date.
By the way, this sentence is hilarious, even if you can't see it: "I had fully intended to have an early night and be back at my place by 1 am at the latest."
Right. Because we all know that coming home at 1 am is an early night...glad you're having fun! ;)
Oooh! I'm so excited for you! Sounds like a fabulous, fun, sexy night! Good for you. You deserve it.
Your date sounds like a lot of fun! I am so happy for you! Have a great weekend!
Your text message from this a.m. (4 something?) just came back to me. It wasn't a dream!
sounds like a fun night.
Dude, you have got to keep this line of posting going for all of us married folks out here. Albeit, happily married, but for the most part, we are home sleeping by 9 on a Thursday night.
Thank you for the entertainment and the reminder of my previous life.
smell you, nancy drew. i totally knew you were happy, and now you are really rolling with it. i'm too exhausted reading about all the adventures. (and i have pretty much zero sympathy re the taxes, although i really dug the clip art.) two things i love a little: 1) the girl-power vibe in your entries, 2) the heart-felt comraderie and genuine happiness for YOUR happiness on the part of ppl leaving comments. you are loved, child.
Holy crap, a man who dances!? I thought they were extinct. Glad you had a great time. :)
That is so cool!!! Can't wait to hear more about your fun adventures.
Starshine - I see how that could be funny, but when you don't meet up until 10 pm, 1 is kind of early, no?
Lass, Gravelly - Thank you ladies!
Wood - Text message from 4 am?!?!? Oh no! I hope I didn't wake you up!
Karianne - I'll do my best not to let you down. :)
Gypsy - Although it's a stereotype, I find that men of color can generally shake their booties and it's the white boys who are a little challenged on the dance floor.
Prue - Yeah, thanks for checking in!! I miss you.
Bug - You are loved too. :) I'm so excited you feel the girl power vibe. Yeah. For coraderie, I oh it all to the amazing women I've met throught this blog. They are awesome and incredibly supportive, as you can see. (Thank you ladies, and Sparky!).
