Thursday Thirteen # 16

Thirteen Things I Did To Steel Myself

1) Met a friend for a drink.
2) Focused on work and the needs of my pro bono clients.
3) Allowed myself to cry, and cry, and cry and then made myself stop.
4) Took anti-anxiety medicine.
5) Tried to sleep 8 hours each night, but kept waking up after horrible dreams.
6) Made myself get up each morning despite the silence of the apartment and the emptiness in my chest.
7) Gave myself a number of excellent orgasms.
8) Reminded myself that I am strong, that I will come out of this stronger.
9) Talked with my family and friends.
10) Wrote about my feelings.
11) Met with my therapist.
12) Went to knitting class.
13) Made plans to take next week off and spend it with people who love me unconditionally.

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It's easy, and fun! Be sure to update your Thirteen with links that are left for you, as well! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things. Trackbacks, pings, comment links accepted!

Oh my god...I must have missed something. I have just gone backwards on your blog to try to find out what happened.

I am so so sorry to hear how upset and sad you are. It must be terribly stressful to try to work through a relationship crumbling and ended.

I am so sorry to hear this news. Even though I barely know you, my impression of you from the blogging encounters is that you are an awesome high energy person.

I imagine you have taken this very hard and very personal.

If there is anything I can do, please feel free to email me. Sometimes talking to someone outside a situation can be of help and I have a ot of experience in listening, relationships and advice.

Remember all the love you ever wanted is right inside of you. If someone can not see what an incredible person you are, do not let them bring you down by their lack of interest or change of commitment.

I know it's cliche to say...but it is their loss.

I will try to check back in, but really here is my e-mail if you feel there is any help I could give you

Sorry to read that you've been going through a rough time. All of those things you've listed sound like great ways to work through things for yourself.

From perusing your blog, you *are* a strong woman, and you will come out of this stronger.

Take care of yourself.

I remeber it being so stressful to tide over an ended relationship. Reading your TT you sound like a very warm hearted person to me. Please take this week of you´ve planned and do whatever might help.

Hold your head up high and take care!

kind regards from Germany,

S.

I'm proud of you for doing all those things! Taking care of yourself now is vital. Be kind to yourself, listen to your needs. I think going to be with family and friends will be a huge help, too.

When Lancelot and I broke up I found myself doing every little thing I wanted. I took long baths, I discovered new music, I read a lot, I watched a lot of funny movies, I called my mom every day.

You are a delightful, strong, kind, insightful, and giving person, and you will be just fine, I know it.

Hi B&B, I did my first TT post today and found your blog! Thanks for the honesty about the meds, I take them too when I need to. Sounds like you are doing all the things needed to take care of you. If you two get a chance, please visit my new blog, PracticingContentment, and let me know how I'm doing! Nice to find you,
